Discover the Magic

At Wolperdinger Bookends, we believe in creating and sustaining a dynamic place. A place where readers and writers can always experience, share and discover the magic, wonder, intrigue and happiness of books.

Wolperdinger Bookends is a traditional community bookstore offering new books, merchandise and programs for all AGES and all STAGES. But more than this, it offers a space for patrons to experience the magic, wonder, intrigue and happiness of books. And it all starts with the name… A wolperdinger is a mythical hybrid creature who lives in the Bavarian Forest. In considering a unique yet appropriately descriptive name for a place filled with books, wolperdinger fit perfectly. And, of course, we also have a fun assortment of bookends.

"The Dictionary of Lost Words"

Written by Pip Williams

Set in England during the women’s suffrage movement, this book tells us a story about words and meanings of words that were missing from the earliest dictionary. A fictional story based on actual true events. We thought this would be a great read for April. Especially since it has been on our minds considering its International Women’s Day on the 8th of March. Also, a Reese’s Book Club pick!
